BTR Artist of the Week Arrow Up!

BTR sat down with Arrow Up, a trio out of Orange County California, and learned that not everyone from the ‘O.C.’ is a bleached blonde bimbo. In fact, these guys are quite the opposite, and their music is pretty damn good too. Though the band Arrow Up hails from the now infamous Orange County, they are anything but what you see on TV. Not only has this band refused to conform to the stereotypical vibe of their hometown, but they haven’t given in to the typical rockstar persona either.
The trio, comprised of brothers Dylan and Colin Gilbert, along with Steve Souryal, are extremely amicable, and talented to boot. Dylan brings a strong and unique voice, desirable to any band trying to break the traditional musical mold. Dylan and Steve both share guitar and bass duties, bringing depth and diversity to each track. Colin completes the package, chipping in with steady rhythms on the drums. The trio unites as a whole to create ‘the occidental sound;’ a self diagnosed explanation of what happens when the three of them get in a room together.
BreakThru Radio recently sat down with the band to find out exactly what that sound is, discovering some other interesting tid-bits about them in the process.
